A TripAdvisor™ TripWow slideshow of a travel blog to Bascharage, Luxembourg by TravelPod blogger Sherrivilano titled "Cemetery, Chauteaus and AChouffe Beer" Sherrivilano's travel blog entry: "After a comfortable night's sleep in our perfect beds we head down to breakfast which is included with our stay. We find a traditional European offering of cereals, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, fresh made breads and sliced cold cuts. The coffee was outstanding and we reflect that we have had great coffee the whole trip, even when we had instant at the apartment in Germany. Here at Brasserie Meyer hotel though it is truly outstanding, fresh and bold. We ask about a laundry mat and finally think we are going to have success only to reach our destination and find a dry cleaner. We have so much stuff we want to wash we decide it is cost prohibitive at 1 euro each don't know if we will be back before they close. We give up and head on into Luxembourg City. We find another big city but see there are lots of streets allocated to pedestrians only. We make note to return this evening for dinner as it is only 15 minutes from our hotel in Bascharage. Our first stop this morning is Casemates du Bock ( www.lcto.lu/en/fid/3/69/101/casematesbock ). I have read about them and was intrigued. What they are is a series of tunnels about 2 kilometers long that served as fortifications over the years. They also offer expansive views of the city. Marshall's ankle is tender today and we opt not to go on into.
